Sherri was awarded “Outstanding Educator” twice in her career, and has experience with receiving numerous, progressive grant proposals and projects such as acquiring funding for educational advancements in 21st century technology and learning labs.
Sherri’s extensive experience includes eleven years as a classroom teacher and six years in the administrative arena as an Assistant Principal and Principal. At the time she was elected as Idaho’s Superintendent of Public Instruction, Sherri had been servicing at the District Office level as a Federal Programs Director and Curriculum Director. She has been recognized and awarded the district’s “Outstanding Educator Award,” twice. Sherri has written numerous grant proposals, acquiring funding for such educational advancements as technology, 21st-century learning labs, and STEM projects.
